The 10th Symposium on Steatotic Liver Disease and Cancer was held in Hefei, Anhui. The symposium gathered experts in liver disease. Carmen gave a talk to highlight the impact of steatosis on liver cancer development.

The ILCA Annual Conference was held in Brussels, Belgium, from 3‑5 September 2026. Liver cancer specialists came together to exchange expertise and build collaborations aimed at advancing liver‑cancer care and research.

The presentation covers the genetic and immunological insights into innovative therapies using preclinical models of recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma.

Invited talk at the School of Life Science and Technology, ShanghaiTech University

Carmen was being invited by the School of Life Science and Technology, ShanghaiTech University and gave a presentation on "Targeting different liver cancer hallmarks to boost immunotherapy response". The talk focused on the development of the somatic gene-edited animal models of liver cancer which helps to understand how genetic mutations determine the immune characteristics of tumors and thereby influence responses to immunotherapy.

Hong Kong Society for Immunology (HKSI) Annual Congress 2026

Carmen attended the HKSI annual congress together with our post-doctoral fellow Cerise and PhD student Cindy. Carmen chaired the afternoon speaker sessions while Cerise and Cindy presented their posters during the poster session. Both Cerise and Cindy were awarded the best poster award. Congratulations to both and keep up the good work!
